Our Journey
Graham Cowan QHSE Consultancy was founded on a simple principle: Praeventione Tutela; Protection Through Prevention. This philosophy underpins everything we do. Our role is to help organisations understand their responsibilities, interpret legislation correctly, and put proportionate, effective measures in place that genuinely protect people, services, and businesses.
Led by Graham Cowan, Owner and Founder, the consultancy is built on over 30 years of lived, practical experience. Graham is a Chartered Fellow of IOSH (CFIOSH), a Chartered Fellow of IIRSM (FCIIRSM), and a Technical Member of the Institute of Fire Safety Managers (TIFSM). Throughout his career, he has supported organisations across residential care, healthcare, education, property management, construction, manufacturing and agriculture, often operating in complex and highly regulated environments. Our approach is grounded in real-world understanding, clear judgement, and a commitment to delivering practical, prevention-led QHSE support that stands up to scrutiny.

Graham Cowan is the Owner and Founder of Graham Cowan QHSE Consultancy.
He is a Chartered Fellow of IOSH (CFIOSH), a Chartered Fellow of IIRSM (FIIRSM), and a Technical Member of the Institute of Fire Safety Managers (TIFSM), with over 30 years of practical, hands-on experience.

Adrian Howe
Client Relationship
Manager
Ade manages client relationships across the consultancy, acting as a key point of contact and ensuring clear communication throughout the delivery of services.
He works closely with clients to support a smooth, professional experience from initial enquiry through to ongoing support.

Our Training Facility
Our training facility, based in Laceby, North East Lincolnshire, provides a professional, practical environment for the delivery of accredited courses, development programmes, and bespoke training.
The facility is used for pre-booked IOSH-accredited courses and tailored in-house training aligned to real workplace risks. It is also available for hire by organisations requiring a suitable space for training, meetings, or development sessions, offering a focused setting away from day-to-day operational pressures.
